The UM Digos College maintains a Guidance Services and Testing Center ready to meet the needs of every student. It is generally concerned about student welfare, helping and assisting students to actualize their potentials in order to become mature and responsible member of society. In addition, Guidance Counselors are designated in all colleges to make themselves available for consultation, conference and counseling and other needs of the students where they can be of help.

Its primary functions involve counseling, psychological testing (i.e. personality, career, interest, aptitude, and mental ability), learning and study orientation, research, referral, and group process. Thus, diversified and integrated approaches are being put in place to meet the developmental needs of its client.
